QUALITY AND SAFETY POLICY

Boatmen Association “De Koperen Ploeg” W.A. is a commercial organization and is responsible for the mooring and unmooring and shifting of sea-going vessels in the Amsterdam port area.

“De Koperen Ploeg” also takes care of delivery of ship stores. Safe, efficient and comfortable transport of personnel, such as agents, pilots, inspectors and crews, across the water. Other additional services asked for by the captain, the shipping agent or other relevant party’s.

We want to offer our customers and the local government the certainty of an unhindered, unobstructed and safe as possible shipping movement within the Amsterdam port area. The main aspect of our vision on quality is availability, expertise, speed, efficiency and flexibility. In daily practice of all our activities safety, health and the protection of the environment have a high priority.

To be able to conduct this policy and continuously improve performances. We have developed a quality management system that permanent must meet the requirements of the standard ISO 9001:2008.

The quality of our service is very important for the existence of our cooperation. For this reason we expect an active contribution in maintaining and improve our performances from all of our members.

The board explains, on behalf of our general assembly that setting-up and maintaining are part of the quality management system and ongoing improvement of quality of service of the general venture policy.

The board carries for this the primary responsibility and therefore also creates the conditions for the functioning of the management system in practice. This exists including from monitoring the qualifications of all members and employees, sufficient and well material and appropriate work surroundings and appliances.

Also the board verifies that the members and employees of “De Koperen Ploeg” W.A. take knowledge of the determined policy and the relevant passages of the handbooks and that the working methods are carried out in accordance with description in the handbooks.

Our safety policy points itself on the members and employees. All our members / employees have the required personal safety equipment. “De Koperen Ploeg” W.A. only works with inspected material.

Preventing all kinds of accidents or damage all of our members and employees at all time take precautions for limiting possible damage. All the members / employees have the VCA safety certificate or are for that in training. Many members and employees have a first aid certificate and / or ADNR certificate.
